KATHMANDU: A total of 12 more coronavirus infected people—four women and eight men—died in the last 24 hours.

With this, the number of people losing their lives to coronavirus has reached 195 so far, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

Speaking at a regular press briefing on Friday afternoon, Spokesperson at the Ministry Dr. Jageshwor Gautam said that two women aged 56 and 65 years in Morang, a 64-year-old woman from Bhaktapur and a 71-year-old woman from Makwanpur have lost their fight against the pandemic.

Likewise, a 52-year-old man from Udayapur, a 72-year-old man from Parsa, a 45-year-old man from Siraha, an 83-year-old man from Jhapa, a 51-year-old man from Chitwan, a 52-year-old man from Kaski and a 60-year-old man from Rupandehi have succumbed to the coronavirus.

Meanwhile, the coronavirus has been confirmed on 927 more individuals in the last 24 hours in the country that took the national tally to 36,456 as of Friday afternoon.
