11 including bank employees test coronavirus positive in Pokhara

POKHARA: Eleven people in different wards of Pokhara Metropolitan City in Kaski district have been diagnosed coronavirus positive on Thursday afternoon.

A test conducted at the Tuberculosis Treatment Center in Pokhara confirmed the infection in two women and nine men from different wards.

According to the Gandaki Provincial Health Directorate, the infected person of Pokhara Metropolitan City-2 is working in Kamana Development Bank, Deep branch and the infected person of Pokhara Metropolitan City-3 is working in Everest Bank, Amarsingh Chowk branch.

Similarly, a 35-year-old infected person of Pokhara Metropolitan City-14 is working in an engineering consultancy and an infected person of Pokhara-1 is a mobile shop operator, according to the directorate.

Likewise, infected people of Pokhara -5 are working in Pokhara Industrial Area.

All the other people have been identified through contact tracing and preparations are being made to take them all to the isolation center, the directorate added.

The number of coronavirus cases in Gandaki Province has reached 2,036.
