NCP Secretariat meeting postponed till Sept 3



KATHMANDU: The meeting of the party secretariat of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) scheduled to be held on Saturday has been postponed till Thursday, September 3.

According to senior leader of the party and former Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal, the meeting has been postponed owing to the widespread coronavirus pandemic.

The meeting has been postponed in consensus of the NCP Chairmen Prime Minister KP Oli and Puspa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda”.

Saturday’s meeting was supposed to discuss the report and recommendation prepared by the task force formed to find ways to bridge the rifting NCP.

The Chairmen duo had formed the six-member task force to resolve the disputes that the party was facing at the demand to abide by one man, one post commitment between the chairmen and the PM’s refusal to abide by it.

The task force led by NCP General Secretary Bishnu Poudel was formed on August 14.
