158 Nepalis die from COVID-19 abroad



KATHMANDU: As many as 158 Nepalis have lost their lives from COVID-19 worldwide so far.

Similarly, 26,227 Nepalis have been infected with the pandemic virus apart from Nepal.

According to the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), over 8000 Nepalis living in the Gulf countries have been infected with the virus while 18,700 Nepalis living abroad have been recovered from the coronavirus.

The NRNA in coordination with the Nepali Embassy and other Nepal’s mission office have rescued and repatriated over 11,000 Nepalis, so far.

NRNA also informed that 87 dead bodies of Nepalis have been brought to Nepal.

So far, Nepalis living in 13 countries including UK, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Ireland, Japan, Turkey, Netherlands and Sweden have died due to Covid-19.

Likewise, Nepalis living in 19 countries including Denmark, Netherlands, Australia, Malta, Japan, Myanmar, Poland, Russia, New Zealand, Canada, Finland, Ireland, Germany, Sweden, France, Belgium, South Korea, Malaysia and 19 other countries have been recovered from virus and now, no Nepali is infected with the coronavirus in these countries.
