Customs duties on diesel, petrol and gold hiked



KATHMANDU: The government has increased customs duties on some petroleum products.

In the budget speech for the coming fiscal year, Finance Minister Dr. Yuvaraj Khatiwada announced a modest increase in customs duty on petroleum products other than aviation fuel and LP gas.

He also announced an increase in customs duty on gold and gold jewelry.

He said that the health risk tax on cigarettes and gutkha has been increased.
