Rs 7.1 billion allocated for Postal Highway



KATHMANDU: Presenting the budget for the coming fiscal year 2020/21 in the Federal Parliament, Finance Minister Dr. Yubaraj Khatiwada announced to have allocated Rs 7.1 billion for the Postal Highway.

The government aims to upgrade the postal route in the Terai region and build it as an alternative highway connecting east and west.

The total cost of the project is estimated to be Rs. 47.24 billion while the revised cost has reached Rs. 65.20 billion.
