Work permit mandatory for Indian nationals as well



KATHMANDU: The government has decided to enforce the provision of mandatory work permit for all foreign nationals from the forthcoming fiscal year.

Announcing the budget for the fiscal year 2020/21, Minister for Finance Dr. Yuba Raj Khatiwada has announced to make work permit mandatory to all foreign nationals from the coming fiscal year.

The new provision is likely to impact thousands of Indians working in various sectors of Nepal. India has been receiving more than 400 billion rupees as remittance from its nationals working in Nepal.
