Rs 67.50 billion allocated for social security allowance



KATHMANDU: The government has allocated Rs. 67.5 billion for social security allowance for the fiscal year 2020/21.

Unveiling the budget for the coming fiscal year at a joint meeting of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly on Thursday, Finance Minister Dr. Yuvaraj Khatiwada presented has said that government has not increased allowances for the old people.

He stated that the social security allowance will be made based on the life cycle of the people.

He said that special protection will be given to the disabled, single women and special minority people.
