KATHMANDU: The government has announced that health insurance will be provided to 40 percent of the population in the coming fiscal year.

In the budget statement of the coming fiscal year 2020/21, Finance Minister Dr. Yuvaraj Khatiwada has allocated Rs 7.5 billion for health insurance.

The government has so far implemented a health insurance program in 56 districts.
