Prohibitory orders in Banke yet again

BANKE: The local authorities have issued prohibitory orders in Banke after 10 pm on Wednesday until further notice.

The orders were issued considering the increase in the number of coronavirus cases.

All services, except for essentials, will be closed.

A meeting of the district security committee decided to impose prohibition from 10 pm on Wednesday.

The meeting has also decided to mobilize Nepal Army in the area, according to Chief District Office of Banke, Ram Bahadur Kurumwang.

As many as 16 new cases of coronavirus was reported in the district on Wednesday alone.

A person has already died of COVID-19 while 114 persons are infected with coronavirus in Narainapur.

The Narainapur municipality alone has 800 quarantines.

The municipality has also demanded additional team of medical persons and mobilization of security persons immediately.

Likewise, the number of people entering Nepal from India has been increasing.

Narainapur Rural Municipality has easy entry as it has border point for those returning home from Indian cities.
