COVID-19 cases likely to surge in June, July



KATHMANDU: Covid-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC) has predicted that the number of COVID-19 infection persons is likely to surge in June and July.

In a meeting of the Nepal Army health specialists, officials from Epidemiology and Disease Control Division, the CCMC came up with the prediction that the impact of the pandemic will likely go until July this year.

They made the prediction based on the international trend of surge of infection.

According to Major of Nepal Army, Dr Nabin Phuyal, this report suggests people and the concerned to become more cautions and prepare accordingly to combat the pandemic virus.

“The predictions might not be cent percent correct. However, we need to take it as a pre-plan to control the COVID-19,” he said.

According to him, the COVID-19 cases in Nepal are still under control.
