KATHMANDU: Supreme Court of Nepal has issued an interim order not to implement the government’s decision to allow the private health sector to conduct Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT) on low-income people by charging fees.
A single bench of Justice Tej Bahadur KC on Tuesday directed the Ministry of Health and population not to allow private health sector to charge fee on those who sneaked into Nepal or those who are willing to come back home from third countries.
On May 15, the Ministry of Health and Population had issued a directive allowing the private health sector to carry out RDT tests by charging fees.
