Italy reports 26, 644 deaths, 197, 675 infection cases



KATHMANDU: Italy, the second worst-hit country in terms of deaths, has 26, 644 death as of Monday morning.

The number of infection cases in the country has reached 197, 675, the third highest in terms of infection cases, after Spain and America. No new deaths and infection cases have been reported in the last 24 hours, according to Worldometer.

Currently, 106,103 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 2,009 are critical. Meanwhile, 64,928 have recovered after treatment.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 210 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 206,973 and infecting 2,994,436 people as of Monday morning.
