Cricketer Lamichhane pledges Rs 100,000 as COVID-19 relief fund



KATHMANDU: Youth cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane has pledged to contribute Rs 100,000 to COVID-19 relief fund.

Posting a message on social networking sites, leg spinner of National Cricket Team Lamichhane said he will provide the amount to the government coronavirus relief fund.

Meanwhile, Lamichhane has appealed to one and all to maintain social distancing and cooperate with the government in its efforts to contain the deadly novel virus.

The government has set up an emergency fund to fight the fast spreading coronavirus.

Nepal has witnessed three COVID-19 cases, of which one has returned home after recovery while the remaining two are undergoing treatment.
