Seven including ex-lawmaker not charge-sheeted in Chaurasiya murder case

BIRGUNJ: A case has been registered in Mukesh Chaurasiya murder case by not charge-sheeting seven people including a former lawmaker.

The District Government Attorney Office, Parsa, on Thursday didn’t charge-sheeted former lawmaker Raj Kumar Gupta and registered a case at the District Court, Parsa.

Chaurasiya, a secretary of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) in Bindabasini Rural Municipality of Parsa district, was attacked by a member of the same party on October 22. He later died while undergoing treatment.

Chaurasiya’s brother had filed an FIR against 12 people, including former lawmaker Gupta.

However, the government prosecutor’s office has not charge-sheeted seven people including Gupta.
