Gujarati film actor Naresh Kanodia passes away



KATHMANDU: Veteran Gujarati film actor Naresh Kanodia passed away in the course of treatment at the UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Center (UNMICRC) in Ahmedabad on early Tuesday. He was 77.

Kanodia was hospitalized six days ago after being diagnosed with COVID-19, according to Indian media reports. He was also suffering from other ailments.

Gujarati film superstar had worked in over 200 films in his career spanning four decades. His demise came two days after the passing of his elder brother Mahesh Kanodia, 82, in Gandhinagar. He had also shared film music credit as ‘Mahesh-Naresh’ in several of his films.

Dr RK Patel, the director of UNMICRC, confirmed that the actor was battling with COVID-19 infection and other complications. He was on ventilator for the past few days, according to The Times of India.
