10 more fatalities take Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll to 477

KATHMANDU: A total of 10 people, including three in Kathmandu Valley, died of coronavirus in the last 24 hours taking the death toll from the pandemic to 477.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the new deceased are 9 males and one female.

A 20-year-old male in Bara; two males of 44 and 77 years old in Lalitpur; a 50-year-old female and two males of 61 and 62 years of age in Kathmandu; a 72-year-old male in Rupandehi; two males of 63 and 50 years of age in Bardiya, and a male of 34-year-old in Achham succumbed to coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Ministry of Health and Population has recorded 1,573 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours.

A total of 10,123 persons underwent PCR tests at various laboratories across the country, said Ministry Spokesperson Dr. Jageshwor Gautam.

He also informed that the latest update has taken the infection to a total of 73,394 in the country.
