Banke records another COVID-19 death

BANKE: Banke district has recorded another coronavirus death on Sunday morning.

According to District Health Office, a 47-year-old man from Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City-9 succumbed to the pandemic at 5 am this morning at Nepalgunj Medical College.

The man was diagnosed coronavirus positive on September 16 and was admitted to the isolation of the hospital the same day.

The patient underwent plasma therapy, was injected with Remdesivir and was given other supportive treatment, the health office added. He was also suffering from diabetics.

According to sources, the man was an administrative staff at the medical college.

Earlier on Saturday, Campus Chief of Babai Multiple Campus, Binod Agrawal had died of coronavirus infection in Nepalgunj.

The 52-year-old Agrawal who was suffering from lung cancer, tested positive for the virus four days back. He was in home isolation.

Agrawal died while being taken to the Bheri Hospital for treatment after suffering from respiration difficulty.
