TIA sees 14 flights today, 437 Nepalis return from abroad

KATHMANDU: The Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) handled 14 domestic and international flights on Thursday.

Himalaya Airlines rescued 154 Nepalis from Dammam and Nepal Airlines rescued 263 Nepalis from Riyadh of Saudi Arabia.

Likewise, Turkish Airlines brought 20 Nepalis and returned with 203 people. The Cathay Dragon that arrived from Hong Kong today brought 28,728 kg of cargo and left with 34,883 kg of cargo, according to the airport office.

Himalaya and Nepal Airlines have gone to Malaysia to pick up passengers. Another airplane of Himalaya Airlines went to China. All three airplanes are scheduled to return on Friday.

In the domestic flight, Tara Air took off with three passengers and 26 kg of cargo to Ramechhap. Sita Air flew 14 people and Summit Air took one person to Simkot. Three helicopters also flew today, according to figures released by the airport.
