Coronavirus cases reach 1,977 in Gandaki Pradesh with 25 new cases

KATHMANDU:  As many as 25 people have tested positive for coronavirus in Gandaki Pradesh on Thursday morning.

The new cases were confirmed during tests carried out at Regional Tuberculosis Center, Pokhara and Chitwan Medical College.

According to Dr Binod Bindu Sharma, the spokesperson for the COVID-19 Control and Prevention Program of Gandaki Pradesh, the infected are eight from Baglung, one from Parbat, four from Lamjung, nine from Tanahun, and three from Nawalparasi East.

One among those infected is from Nepal Police, two from Nepal Army and the other one is a staffer from a municipality, added Sharma.

With this, the number of coronavirus cases has reached 1,977 in Gandaki Pradesh.

As many as 1,665 people have recovered from the virus so far.

Similarly, the number of deaths from the COVID-19 in Gandaki Pradesh has reached nine after a 32-year-old woman from Pokhara died this morning.
