Fire at Dharan veggie market guts property worth Rs 5.2 mln



DHARAN:  A fire broke out at a vegetable market in Dharan Sub Metropolitan City -3 on early Monday.

The fire which broke out at  4 am due to short-circuit at the cosmetics shop owned by Rama Chauhan Khatiwada spread to 11 other shops, destroying property worth around Rs 5.2 million, said DSP  Gyanendra Basnet of Area Police Office, Dharan.

Hotels, vegetable shops, cosmetics shops were gutted in the fire.

The fire was contained by police with the help of locals.
