Litterateur Bhupi Sherchan’s son Bhupesh held on drug-related charges



KATHMANDU: Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) of Nepal Police on Wednesday carried out a raid in Pepsikola and arrested five individuals on drug-related charges.

Bhupesh Sherchan, the son of renowned litterateur Bhupi Sherchan, was among those arrested.

Sherchan, 48, who has been staying at Naxal of Kathmand, is a drug addict for a long time, according to police.

Police arrested him while he was consuming a narcotic drug.

Police made public after arrest five people including Sherchan and Police Inspector Rudra Shahi on Friday.

Sherchan was a former pilot.
