Pokhara-5 unveils relief expenses

POKHARA: The Pokhara Metropolitan City Ward No. 5 on Tuesday publicized the relief amount doled out to people affected from the prolonged lockdown.

Ward Chairperson Dhan Bahadur Nepali released the data in the presence of people’s representatives, political party representatives, among others.

He said that Rs 2.22 million was spent in relief package.

According to him, a total of 1,358 households residing temporarily and permanently in the ward were provided with the relief package.

For the relief distribution, the Pokhara Metropolitan City had given Rs 984,000 to the ward while other social organizations had provided foodstuffs and economic assistance.

Likewise, different social organizations had offered food to a total of 5,300 individuals.

Similarly, four families offered Rs 281,000 subsidy in house rent to their tenants. Nepali said that Rs 27,000 was given to physically challenged people, sick and those affected from fire and others observing death rituals.
