Quarantined people sent home sans COVID-19 test



NEPALGUNJ: The Janaki Rural Municipality of Banke has been sending people at quarantine centers home without performing coronavirus tests on them.

So far, 72 people have gone home from various quarantines of the rural municipality which is connected to the Indian border.

Those returning from India are kept in quarantine for 14 days and send home.

According to Chief Administrative Officer Hari Khatri, the persons who had stayed in the quarantine for 14 days were sent home as they showed no symptoms similar to coronavirus.

According to him, there are now 196 people in eight different quarantines of the municipality.
