Wild tusker tramples Indian national to death



JHAPA: A wild elephant killed an Indian national in Garurigunj municipality-2 in the southern part of Jhapa district.

According to Bishu Lal Ghimire, chief of Division Forest Office, the deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Sainlo Murmu of Singimari-6, India.

The wild tusker which had come along with its calf had trampled Murmu to death on Monday.

Incident took place when Nepali people along with the Iindian national were chasing the wild beast away.

The dead body of the victim was found in the no man’s land.

A wild elephant had killed an elderly while she was picking wild fern in the jungle of Kachankabal in Jhapa a week ago.
