British PM Johnson to return to work from Monday

LONDON: British Prime Minister Boris Johnson will go back to work on Monday after having recovered from novel coronavirus, a spokeswoman at the Downing Street spokeswoman had confirmed.

PM Johnson, 55, spent at an intensive care for three nights in early April.

He will take back control of the government which is under pressure from the economic fallout of shutdowns.

Britain has recorded as many as 20,000 deaths from coronavirus so far.

PM Johnson’s stand-in leader Dominic Raab has come under criticism and faced harsh questions over how the country will ease the lockdown.

The Prime Minister was taken to St Thomas’s Hospital in London suffering from novel coronavirus symptoms on April 5.
