Gagan Thapa is a good striker of poor team: Deepak Raj Giri

Says: Will Messi play from French team just because the team needs him?

KATHMANDU: Social media walls are filled with criticism of the inefficient strategy and unfriendly remarks of Health Minister Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal. Many of them have started demanding his resignation.

Citing his inefficiency the social media users demand Dhakal’s instant replacement with Nepali Congress(NC) leader Gagan Thapa.

Remembering many long-term impact making policies and decisions made by the young leader of the Nepali Congress, they have opined that the country would have been in the better situation had there been a minister like Gagan Thapa.

Earlier, when requested to talk about govt. preparation on coronavirus spread, Minister Dhakal was seen saying he was in a hurry as there were guests at home.

In the meantime, Deepak Raj Giri has mentioned Gagan Thapa as a good striker of the poor football team.

In his social media status, Giri has said, “ Some friends say Gagan Thapa should be made a Minister, but Gagan is a good striker of a poor football team in the present context.”

Comparing politics with football he has said, “ No good striker can play in world cup, unless the team is selected for it.”

Actor Giri who is seen more active in social media during self-quarantine has commented main opposition party Nepali Congress as a weak team and added, “Will Messi play from French team just because the team needs him?”
