Koshi Hospital to be developed as a teaching hospital

BIRATNAGAR: The Biratnagar-based Koshi Hospital is to be developed as a model and teaching hospital.

The State-1 government is preparing to upgrade the hospital into a teaching hospital, according to State Minister for Social Development Jivan Ghimire.

Saying that the state government has set aside Rs 400 million in this regard, Minister Ghimire said that the immediate operation of Doctorate of Medicine classes is required for the same.

The hospital was established at Rangeli of Morang in 1947 BS and shifted to Biratnagar in 2013 BS.

One of the oldest government hospitals in the country, the 50-bed hospital has been expanded to 350-beds currently.
