KATHMANDU: A meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is taking place today.
According Baluwatar sources, the meeting will dwell on Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact and commission bargaining scam involving former Minister Gokul Prasad Baskota.
The meeting will begin at 11 am at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar.
Likewise, the meeting will also discuss the criticism arising from all quarters following the formation of the task-force to amend the Constitution that would pave the way for a National Assembly member to become the prime minister.
It is learnt that the task-force was formed following pressure from Bamdev Gautam.
NCP Chairmen KP Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal will put their views on the MCC.
The task-force led by Jhala Nath Khanal on February 21 submitted its detailed report on MCC after 20 days.
