KATHMANDU: Metropolitan Traffic Police Division (MTPD) is introducing a new traffic rule along Koteshwor-Jadibuti road section effective from Wednesday.

According to the new rule, slow-moving vehicles including truck, bus and tipper have to ply the left lane while those fast-moving vehicles such as car and motorcycles have to use the right lane.

The new rule has been introduced in a bid to reduce hectic traffic jam that has been troubling commuters along the road section, said SSP Bhim Prasad Dhakal, chief of the MTPD.
