Former King on a week-long visit to India



KATHMANDU: Former King Gyanendra Shah has left for a week-long visit to India on Sunday.

He is accompanied by his wife Komal.

The motorcade left for Kakarvitta at 11 am this morning.

In India, the former Royal couple will visit relatives in Siliguri, Darjeeling, and Sikkim, Dr Phadiraj Pathak, Shah’s press secretary said.

Former King Gyanendra is also likely to visit the school that he studied in Darjeeling.

It is reported that the ex-royal will also be visiting different religious places of the Indian state. They will also meet high-ranking political leaders.
