3 including Indian national arrested while smuggling marijuana in ambulance

HETAUDA: Three persons including an Indian national have been arrested on the charge of smuggling marijuana in an ambulance.

A police team deployed from Area Police Office, Newarpani arrested three persons and impounded the ambulance, Ba 2 Jha 1749.

The arrested is ambulance driver Mahamad Alid, 39, of Dumiriya Municipality-9 of Rautahat, Ashok Kumar, 19, of Dumiriya-4 and Binod Sahani, 22, of Motihari in the Indian State of Bihar.

According to police, the gang was busted while smuggling 30.6 kilograms of marijuana in the ambulance.

The ambulance was impounded from Newarpani along the East-West Highway, according to police.
