JHAPA: A cyclist has died after being hit by a jeep at Kamal rural municipality-5 of Jhapa district.
The incident took place at 8:00 this morning when a jeep, Me. 1 Ja. 2004, hit the cyclist at Labdanda section of the East-west highway.
Cyclist Jhulanath Khanal,53, of ward no. 3 in the same municipality died in the incident, according to DSP at Area Police Office, Damak, Bijaya Raj Pandit.
Seriously injured Khanal died during treatment at the Lifeline hospital in Damak. The jeep driver has been taken into custody for necessary action.
