NEPSE registers double-digit growth



KATHMANDU: The stock market has created a new record yet again on Thursday. The market has not only reached a point four years ago, the transaction amount has also reached a new point.

According to the Nepal Stock Exchange, the NEPSE index rose by 18.43 points to 1,893.24 today.

Similarly, the Sensitive Index, which measures the trading volume of large companies, also rose by 2.85 points to 365.18.

NEPSE, which has been rising since the beginning of the week, has closed today on the last day of the week.

A total of 1,788,099 shares of 201 companies were traded at a price of Rs 7.61 million.

Out of the total 12 sub-indices traded today, shares of five sub-indices have risen while shares of seven sub-indices have declined.

Banking increased by 37.76 points, hydropower by 6.82 points, manufacturing by 0.09 points, others by 15.36 points, and collective investment funds by 0.07 points.

Trade declined by 130.66 points, hotels by 43.65 points, development banks by 8.35 points, finance by 5.87 points, non-life insurance by 165.01 points, microfinance by 16.65 points, and life insurance by 134.32 points.
