KAHS opens, liaison office to shut down

JUMLA: The padlocking in the central and academic administrative block of Karnali Academy of Health Sciences in Jumla has been opened.

The padlocking was done by employees of the KAHS in protest against the appointments made by Vice-chancellor Prof Dr Rajendra Raj Wagley.

The KAHS employees welfare society had locked up the block 43 days ago calling for cancellation of the appointment of Muniraj Chettri as the Dean. He was the third dean to be appointed by Dr Wagley.

The issue was resolved based on a three-point agreement reached to address our major demands following a discussion between the two sides on Tuesday, the Society Chair Ramakant Upadhyaya said.

Accordingly, a task force will be formed to look into the appointments of all the Deans. Likewise, the liaison office in Mahalaxmisthan, Lalitpur will be shut down and the staffers recalled to KAHS, Jumla. RSS
