15 more die of COVID-19, Nepal’s death toll hits 862

KATHMANDU: A total of 15 people died of the coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the coronavirus death toll has reached 862 as of Monday with the new deaths.

Meanwhile, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has reached 159,830 as of Monday afternoon after 1,741 persons tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, altogether 5,006 sample tests were conducted across the country in the past 24 hours.

A total of 4,005 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 115,675 in the country.

Nepal currently has 43, 293 active cases.

Likewise, 2,969 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.

Meanwhile, 15 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 862, the Ministry confirmed.
