Judge of Biratnagar High Court diagnosed with COVID-19



BIRATNAGAR: A 48-year-old judge and 2 staffers of Biratnagar High Court have tested positive for coronavirus on Tuesday evening.

According to Om Subedi, the information officer for the High Court, reports of coronavirus tests of the High Court Judge, his driver, and one more staff of the court came out positive.

He informed that after finding the driver suffering from fever and common cold, the court had arranged to get the swabs of the Justice, his body guard and the driver on August 23.

“The swab sent for the test came out with coronavirus positive result on Tuesday evening,” Subedi revealed.

He added that the judge is out of danger, and is at home isolation and has not shown any symptoms so far.

However, the driver has been admitted to the COVID Hospital.

Subedi informed that despite the coronavirus positive report of the judge, the court will still be in operation.

Earlier, a judge and a staff at Morang District Court had tested coronavirus positive which had disturbed courts routine for 6 days.

Accroding to the Biratnagar Metropolitan City, the number of coronavirus cases in the Metropolitan City has reached 855 so far out of which 265 have returned home after recovery.
