Nepse index witnesses double digits rise



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange index witnessed a double-digit rise on Sunday.

Nepse shot up 22.40 points to close at 1,465.10 points.

Likewise, the sensitive index has also increased by 3.59 points and reached 307.53 points.

Over 4.5 million units of shares of the total 190 companies were traded at over Rs 1.9 billion.

Of 12 subgroups that had transactions, nine subgroups got their shares increased and three decreased.

Share price of hotel sub-group has increased by 2.29 points, hydropower sub-group by 2.2, collective investment fund sub-group by 0.01, banking sub-group by 16.5, trade sub-group by 8.51, development bank sub-group by 4.73, non-life insurance sub-group by 259.64, production sub-group by 5.73, micro finance sub-group by 27.65 and life insurance sub-group by 338.8 points.
