COVID-19 affected people to be made entrepreneurial

KATHMANDU: The UNDP has introduced a new plan to promote self-employment program for those people affected by the COVID-19.

A total of 150 such persons have been selected for the program who would be encouraged and assisted for running small scale and cottage industries.

Federation of Nepal Cottage and Small Industries (FNCSI) Acting Chief Kabiraj Khatri shared that COVID-19 affected people were categorized as foreign returnees and those from marginalized and impoverished communities.

“Professional and skill-oriented training would be provided to the selected ones so that they could run their own business,” informed Khattri.
