One missing in Baglung landslide found dead

BAGLUNG: The rescue team involved in clearing the debris of landslide that buried a dozer, a tipper and a tractor on Saturday evening, have found a dead body of a young man from the debris.

According to Baglung Police, the rescue team consisting of security forces and the locals found the body of Dhan Bahadur Nepali alias Roshan, the tractor driver while clearing the landslide debris at Baglung Municipality-1, Nirayaghat.

Police informed that the dry landslide of Saturday buried three vehicles including a dozer, a tipper and a tractor. The search for Nirmal Pun, the tipper driver who had gone missing with Nepali, is going on.

The landslide that started at around 9 pm had swept the tractor to the Kali Gandaki river whereas a tipper and a dozer are still under the debris. The operator of the dozer had managed to save himself by running away from the site.

Nepal Police Armed Police Force and Nepal Army have been carrying out the rescue operation in coordination with the locals.
