Internal Revenue Office Nepalgunj shut down as revenue officer tests COVID-19 positive



NEPALGUNJ: The Internal Revenue Office Nepalgunj has been shut down as one of its revenue officers tested positive for coronavirus.

Issuing a notice on Sunday, the Internal Revenue Office informed all that the office has been shut down for Sunday as all its staffers have to get their PCR tested and have to be in quarantine till the report comes.

Preliminary tracing has shown that more than 50 people have come into contact with the officer.

According to focal person Naresh Shrestha, the District Public Health Office has arranged for the PCR test of all people who have come into contact with the officer who tested COVID-19 positive.

Similarly, after finding a person working in a sweet shop at Tribhuvan Chowk, the shop has also been shut down. The medics, locals and security people are involved in contact tracing the people who met the workers of the shop.

Lately, Banke has been witnessing an increasing number of coronavirus cases among the people who are not in the quarantine.

Most of such people included students, bureaucrats and NGO employees.
