2 women arrested for duping youths on pretext of entry to US



KATHMANDU: The Metropolitan Police Crime Division (MPCD) has arrested two women on the charge of duping youths.

According to the police, a team deployed from MPDC arrested Kopila Sharma and Anisa KC from Butwal.

They have been found deceiving various men by assuring them that they will take them to the US after getting married claiming that they have won the DV lottery.

Investigation revealed that the duo also duped scores of women asking them to become partners of different companies by producing fake documents.

Police said that complaints have been registered with the law enforcement agency that the duo defrauded Rs 700,000, adding that a further investigation is underway in this regard.
