Ward chair held in possession of marijuana



BAGLUNG: Police have arrested ward chair of Nisikhola rural municipality-6 in Baglung, Surya Bahadur Gharti, in possession of marijuana.

Acting on a tip-off, police confiscated 86 kilos of contraband from his house this morning, District Police Office Baglung’s information officer Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajendra Regmi said.

A team led by Area Police Office, Burtibang’s police inspector Prakash Singh Bhandari arrested Gharti.

He has been taken to the district headquarters for further investigation.

Regmi added that a lab test of the sample of contraband will also be conducted.
