Surkhet Hospital shuts services except emergencies

SURKHET: The State Hospital Surkhet has shut down all its services barring emergency after the confirmation of Covid-19 infection among nine health workers including a doctor in the hospital.

The hospital said it had shut down all services excluding emergency service.

Director at the hospital, Dr Dambar Khadka said that a specialist doctor along with other health workers tested positive for coronavirus while testing their swab samples through PCR procedure.

The infected ones have been kept at an isolation ward in Coronavirus Special Hospital under the State Hospital.
