73 suspects test negative for COVID-19 in Udayapur



UDAYAPUR: A total of 73 people tested negative for coronavirus out of 78 suspects from Chaudandi Municipality and Triyuga Municipality in Udayapur district. However, the report of five others is awaited.

The swabs were collected from the suspects at Siwayi in Chaudandi and Motigada in Triyuga and were taken to the Biratnagar-based laboratory, the officials said.

The swabs of 58 individuals from Siwayi and 20 from Motigada were collected three days ago on the presence of State-1 Minister for Social Development Jiban Kumar Ghimire.

Mothayi, Khaijanpur, Jogidaha Deuri and Jaljale along with some other sites in Triyuga are still enlisted as the hotspot for coronavirus, the Health Office said.

Currently, the hotspot areas in the district are sealed off and security surveillance has been upped.
