Swab collection intensified in Saptari

SAPTARI: Swab collection for the COVID-19 test has begun at three suspected zones in the district today.

Test bid is begun after the Ministry of Health and Population sent VTM and technical human resources for the same.

The suspected zones are Bode Barsain, Surunga and Saptakoshi municipality in the district. The test would be held via the PCR machine, district health office said.

The Ministry sources stated that the swab would be collected by establishing temporary collection centers at the place and the collected swab would be sent to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan for further confirmation.

The test was intensified after the area was found vulnerable in view of a possible outbreak of COVID-19 as infected persons were found at Bhulke of Triyuga municipality and infected persons were reportedly in contact at these places.
