COVID-19: Nepal performs over 9,900 PCR tests

KATHMANDU: Nepal has carried out over 9,900 COVID-19 tests through the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method.

As per the update made public by the Ministry of Health and Population on Saturday afternoon, 9,967 samples have been tested through PCR machines in laboratories across the country.

Speaking at the press briefing, Health Ministry’s Spokesperson Dr. Bikash Devkota shared that the ministry has expedited tests.

According to him, 14,731 persons have been quarantined across the country and 87 have been put in isolation.

He added that no new cases have been reported today so far.
