Italy reports 25,969 deaths, 192, 994 infection cases



KATHMANDU: Italy, the second worst-hit country in terms of deaths, has witnessed 420 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 25,969 as of Saturday morning.

With 3, 021 new cases, the number of infection cases has reached 192, 994, the third highest in terms of infection cases, after Spain and America.

Currently, 106,527 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 2,173 are critical. Meanwhile, 60,498 have recovered after treatment.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 210 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 197, 074 and infecting 2,827, 981 people as of Saturday morning.
