KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda has said that he has faith in the court.
At a press conference held at a banquet in Kathmandu on Friday, Prachanda said that he was hopeful that the court would decide according to the sentiments of the people.
“I have faith in the court. The court will rule that the dissolution of the Parliament was unconstitutional,” he said.
Recalling that the current Prime Minister KP Oli had remarked that the republic had failed while he was fighting for the republic, Prachanda said that it was very unfortunate for Oli to dissolve the parliament now.
Prachanda said that the Prime Minister had decided to dissolve the parliament without an authority entrusted to him and Nepal’s politics reached a complicated and challenging place after the President approved it.
After the decision to dissolve the House of Representatives, Prime Minister Oli and Chairman Prachanda-Madhav Nepal have formed two separate groups in the ruling party.
The Prachanda-Nepal group has submitted its claim to the Election Commission on Friday saying that their group was official.
