Four more persons succumb to COVID-19 in Biratnagar



BIRATNAGAR: Four people have succumbed to COVID-19 in Biratnagar in the last 24 hours.

While three breathed their last at the Nobel Medical College, Biratnagar, the fourth died at the COVID-19 Koshi Hospital.

An 82-year-old man from Dhankuta Municipality-4, Dhankuta died on Wednesday morning. Narayan Dahal, Manager of Nobel Medical College said that the octogenarian was admitted to the hospital on November 23 after he tested positive for coronavirus.

Likewise, a 50-year-old woman from Dharan Sub-metropolis-7 of Sunsari district died at the Nobel Medical College at 9.15 pm on Tuesday. She was admitted to the hospital on November 22 for treatment after she was confirmed with coronavirus.

Similarly, a 40-year-old man from Ramdhuni Municipality-6 of Sunsari died at 11:40 pm on Tuesday. He was taken to the hospital for treatment on Tuesday afternoon due to respiratory problems and the infection was confirmed in the evening.

A 70-year-old woman from Dhanpalathan Village Municipality-6, Morang has died at Koshi Hospital COVID-19 treatment center. She died at around 8 am on Wednesday, according to the hospital.
